New Pornographers Announce New Album And Fall Tour

Canadian indie-rockers The New Pornographers have announced plans to release a new LP titled Brill Bruisers, their first album since 2010′s Together. Brill Bruises will hit stands stores and digital shelves on August 26 via Matador. The band as also shared the title track of the album, which you can check out below.

The new record includes Neko Case and Dan Bejar, along with A.C. Newman, Blaine Thurier, John Collins, Kathryn Calder, Kurt Dahle, and Todd Fancey. In a press release, Newman said that “this is a celebration record.”

“After periods of difficulty, I am at a place where nothing in my life is dragging me down and the music reflects that.”

The record was produced by Newman and Collins, and mainly recorded at Little Blue in Woodstock, NY and JC/DC Studios in Vancouver. It’ll be available as a limited edition “paint-splattered” vinyl, which comes with a 3D poster and 3D glasses when preordered. New Pornographers will also go on a North American tour this fall, with the Pains of Being Pure at Heart. Check out the full schedule below.
