In between taking the Herculean amount of drugs that made member Pete Doherty a human scarecrow warning against the dangers of excessive, The Libertines manages to be a pretty decent rock band. It seems that they think so, too, as the band is getting back together for the inevitable reunion tour.
Don’t get too excited, though, if you’re not currently living in Europe—all the dates (so far) are on that side of the pond. There may, however, be a shot at a new album that would allow—according to Doherty—the band to “finish off all those ideas that we never completed back in the day, all those songs we never played for anyone else that have been floating around in the ether.”
