Former child star Edward Furlong has landed in the headlines once again and it isn’t for an acting gig.
According to TMZ, the thirty-five year old actor was arrested and taken into custody for felony domestic violence at Terminal 2 of the Los Angeles International Airport.
Furlong apparently became angry with his girlfriend when the troubled star grabbed her arm, squeezing hard enough that he left marks on the unidentified woman’s skin. The incident is said to have taken place in the early morning hours. Airport police was dispatched to the lower level area, arriving on the scene to arrest and take Furlong into custody at the LAPD’s 77th Division Jail with bail set at $50k. When news of Furlong’s arrest had landed in the media, the ‘Terminator’ actor was reportedly still behind bars.
This past August Furlong made the news when he was mugged in what is known as the skid row area of Los Angeles. Previously he has been arrested for driving under the influence back in 2001, public intoxication and violating his probation when he broke the terms of a restraining order prohibiting him from contacting his estranged wife, Rachael Kneeland. According to Kneeland’s claims, Furlong tried to punch her in the face.
Furlong caught his first big break at the age of just 12 years old when he was cast alongside Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger in the Terminator Franchise. After portraying the role of John Connor, Furlong took on roles, appearing in ‘American History X’ opposite Ed Norton, the film entitled ‘Pecker’ and more recently the Seth Rogen superhero movie ‘The Green Hornet’. Hopefully the California native’s latest attachments, involving close to a dozen films, will keep Furlong out of trouble in the future.
It is unclear as of late if Furlong has yet to make bail.
