Singer Sheryl Crow has been diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. You might recall a few months ago, when Crow made headlines for forgetting part of her classic hit “Soak Up the Sun.” Now, we’ve got an explanation. In a recent interview with the Las Vegas Review-Journal newspaper, Crow revealed that her recent memory loss is the product of a medical condition called Meningioma. According to the Grammy winner, it’s nothing to worry about.
Crow told the newspaper:
“I worried about my memory so much that I went and got an MRI. And I found out I have a brain tumor. And I was, like, ‘See? I knew there was something wrong.’ I haven’t really talked about it. In November, I found out I have a brain tumor. But it’s benign, so I don’t have to worry about it.”
Although the brain tumor is benign, Crow has suffered some form of memory loss. One standout example is when she forgot the lyrics to her classic hit “Soak Up the Sun” while performing live in Florida.
But overall, the tumor hasn’t really changed anything. It’s been six months since Crow found out about her brain tumor, and everything seems to be going great for her. She’s still performing five to six times a month and is even working on a new album, which is set to be released in October.
