Back in 2004 Britney Spears (or her record company, actually) released her first compilation album Greatest Hits: My Prerogative. In 2009, another Britney compilation was released compiling all of her singles to date … it was titled simply, The Singles Collection. In the eyes of Britney‘s record company, it would seem time again for the release of another compilation album. This month, a 16-track compilation titled Oops! I Did It Again: The Best Of Britney Spears is set for release. Click below to see the album art and compilation tracklist.
– Oops!…I Did It Again
– …Baby One More Time
– I’m A Slave 4 U
– Born To Make You Happy
– Cinderella
– Brave New Girl
– The Hook Up
– Don’t Hang Up
– One Kiss From You
– Anticipating
– What It’s Like To Be Me
– My Baby
– Out From Under
– You Got It All
– Showdown
– That’s Where You Take Me
Honestly, any self-respecting Britney fan should already have all of the songs on this compilation so owning it would be irrelevant. Naturally, any self-respecting Britney fan wouldn’t really care about irrelevancy and will likely rush out to buy it anyway. BUT, it seems really odd that this comp is being released. I can’t find it listed on Amazon‘s site but other sites like AllMusic claim it is set for release. Even tho this comp will likely be a must-own for diehard Britney fans, I’m more interested in the release of an entirely new album of music. Hopefully we’ll be hearing about the possibility of that happening sometime … soon.
