Amy Winehouse’s Family Puts Her Final Home Up For Sale

Amy Winehouse Accuses Mark Ronson Of Stealing Credit Amy Winehouses Family Puts Her Final Home Up For Sale

Another in a long string of reminders that a gifted artist is now gone, Amy Winehouse’s family has put the Northwest London home where the deceased soul-pop singer died up for sale.  The house is currently going for $4.2 million.

While the family states that parting with the house will cause them “great regret,” they also believe that living in the Camden property in which Winehouse died would be inappropriate following her sad death.  Winehouse family spokesperson Chris Goodmen went on to say in a statement that “it was not practical to keep it empty while paying the costs of its upkeep.  It is a wonderful place and will be a happy family home for someone.”

For a period, it was rumored that the home might have been converted into the primary headquarters for the Amy Winehouse Foundation.  The AWF is a charitable organization that raises money “to help young people in need.”  Rolling Stone also notes that the Camden estate has “become a shrine of sorts, with fans leaving flowers and mementos in tribute.”

The Camden home is a three-bedroom house with private gardens overlooking Camden Square, as well as a built-in sound system and CCTV.  The Winehouse family is currently entertaining offers while trying to “weed out” the people who are “just being nosy.”

What do you think of the Winehouse news?
