They originally said they were weighing their options on whether or not to continue their partnership with Paula Deen, but on Thursday (June 27) QVC announced they are currently dropping the famed chef.
In a statement, head of the home shopping giant explained that this recent decision may not be permanent, explaining, "Some of you may wonder whether this is a 'forever' decision – whether we are simply ending our association with Paula. We don’t think that’s how relationships work. People deserve second chances. And we always strive to do the right thing."
In response to the latest withdrawl, Deen released her own comments, saying, "As you know, I have some important things to work on right now, both personally and professionally. And so we’ve agreed that it’s best for me to step back from QVC and focus on setting things right."
As previously reported by GossipCenter, QVC is just the latest in a slew of organizations who have backed out of dealing professionally with the Food Network icon including Wal-Mart, Home Depot and the Smithfield ham company.
