After an extremely long journey of winning over the judges and America's hearts, it was time for a winner to be announced for season twelve of "American Idol."
On Thursday (May 16), Kree Harrison and Candice Glover both excitedly took the stage to find out who would become the next reality TV singing sensation.
Before the highly-anticipated moment took place, the finalists got one last chance to show off their skills.
Taking the stage to belt out Keith Urban's "Where the Blacktop Ends," Harrison took center spotlight while Urban was on guitar, Randy Jackson on bass and Blink-182's Travis Barker on drums.
Eager to jump on stage, Glover got her moment when she performed Natalie Cole's hit "Inseparable" with her own idol Jennifer Hudson.
So who won the grand prize? At the end of the two-hour special it was revealed that Candice Glover was this year's American Idol.
