Before the Coachella lineup was released, we all had high hopes that The Rolling Stones would be on the bill. The lineup came and went, and the English rockers were nowhere on it. But, according to some sources, the band is planning a North American tour this spring. Also, Phoenix released a new music video for “Entertainment.” And Noel Gallagher had some very nice things to say about David Bowie and his new album. All that and more below.
- Noel Gallagher Praises David Bowie For New Record: Former Oasis member Noel Gallagher was very impressed by David Bowie’s new album. He said The Next Day “blew his mind.” Recently, NME asked the the singer what he thought of Bowie coming back with his new album. He replied, “It’s great to hear his voice singing something new.” He also mentioned that Bowie’s return means that reunions are sh*t. He said, “If you had turned on the news and it had said, ‘David Bowie is going to do a f*cking series of concerts next year,’ everyone would have gone, ‘Oh great, can’t wait, that’s it, let’s talk about something else.’ But we’re still talking about that song. New music and records rule, but reunions for gigs are sh*t, you know.” So yeah, don’t expect an Oasis reunion anytime soon. Gallagher hates them.
- The Rolling Stones Planning U.S. Tour: The Rolling Stones are planning an 18-date tour in the United States this year, reports Rolling Stone. A concert business source confirmed to the magazine that the iconic band is planning to tour North America in May. A lot of people were disappointed that the Rolling Stones weren’t on the Coachella lineup. If you were one of those people, you may soon get the chance to see them!
- “Entertainment” Music Video: As we get closer to the release of Phoenix’s fifth album Bankrupt!, one can feel the excitement mounting. The French band has released a video for their new single “Entertainment.” Check it out:
