Conrad Murray Asks For Appeal In Michael Jackson Manslaughter Case
Murray is asking appellate court to re-test a piece of medical evidence from his trial.

<P>The imprisoned cardiologist <a href="/news/articles/1673906/michael-jackson-conrad-murray-verdict-guilty-involuntary-manslaughter.jhtml">convicted of manslaughter</a>
 in the 2009 death of <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jackson_michael/artist.jhtml">Michael Jackson</a> filed a request on Monday to have a key piece of evidence in his trial re-tested. Dr. Conrad Murray is asking an appellate court to order a lab to authorize a forensic analysis on residue in a drug vial taken from the bedroom of Jackson's rented Los Angeles estate.</P><P>According to the <a href="http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la-me-0731-murray-20120731,0,2898322.story" target="_blank"><I>Los Angeles Times</I></a> Murray's defense team thinks that the 100-milliliter bottle, which was a key piece of evidence at the 2011 trial that ended with Murray's conviction on involuntary manslaughter charges, could help lead to a successful appeal of the sentence.</P><P>Murray's fingerprint was on the bottle, which prosecutors said held the lethal dose of the surgical anesthetic propofol that killed Jackson. Prosecutors had argued that Murray mixed a small amount of propofol with another anesthetic, lidocaine, in an intravenous drip and then left Jackson unattended.</P><P>Murray's defense team said the vial was in a bag of trash and was unrelated to Jackson's death, countering that the pop icon injected himself with propofol from a syringe while the doctor wasn't looking.</P><P>"If a forensic examination of the residue in Exhibit 30 revealed no lidocaine, it would completely negate [the prosecution expert's] concluding theory ... leaving only the theory of bolus injection just prior to Jackson's death," appellate attorney Valerie Wass wrote in a filing.</P><P>This is the third time Murray's lawyers have attempted to launch an appeal on these grounds after they argued that they did not fully comprehend the need to test the residue until the testimony of a prosecution expert near the end of the seven-week trial. During the trial, judge Michael Pastor refused a motion for further analysis shortly after the verdict; a second request was also denied.</P><P>Murray, 58, received a four-year sentence but is not expected to serve more than two years in county jail.</P>

Prince Harry Vegas Romp Cuaght On Tape?
It is the never ending saga of Prince Harry and his nakedness in Las Vegas. The latest drama to unfold because of his not so smart actions is that the whole romp was caught on tape and it could soon be up for sale, wowza!
A week ago the scandalous photos of the Prince in his birthday suit were leaked onto the Net causing quite the Royal scandal. Now comes another serious blow involving that same night, it is being reported that the whole evening was caught on tape. Yep it looks like Harry could be starring in his very own movie.
RadarOnline was the first to break the story claiming that a source told them there is actual video footage of the night but what is kind of shocking to me is that it supposedly is not being shopped around yet. The website however does say that it has not actually seen the alleged video but that has not stopped this rumor from spreading like wildfire across the Internet.
I tell you what if the romp of Harry and some ladies sans clothes did actually get filmed the Palace will be none too happy. I mean as they try to fix the damage done by just the photos being leaked a video would take this scandal to a whole new level. I figured it was only a matter of time before a video surfaced or rather a rumor about a video surfaced. Let’s be serious the only thing worse than the pics is a video and whoever has their hands on the alleged footage probably knows they can get big bucks for it, which is probably why it hasn’t been shopped around yet. No doubt if there is one it will get leaked or sold or something soon.

<P><b>NEWARK</b> — Since its opening, <a href="/news/articles/1682347/michael-jackson-immortal-cirque.jhtml">Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour</a> by Cirque Du Soleil has honored the King of Pop through music, dance and acrobatics 117 times. Night after night, artists celebrate the life of the late Michael Jackson, but how do they take his iconic legacy and put it into a production? When the tour came to New York City this week, MTV News went behind the scenes to talk with the creative forces and performers to find out.</P><P>The artists (all 65 of them) had limited time to train and learn choreography -- an especially difficult feat when it's honoring MJ's signature moves. It was a kind of pressure that creative director Tara Young certainly learned to channel into a positive force.</P><P><CENTER><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:755805/cp~vid%3D755805%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A755805" width="430" height="242" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></CENTER></P><P>"I think it is a pressure for sure; something I share with the whole building here is that we have nothing to prove, only to share," Young told MTV News. "You are sharing this passion with them, and this love of MJ. There's times in the show when some people and I, myself, might have shed a few tears."</P><P>That pressure never felt as great as when the Jackson family sat in the front row at a show in Montreal, an experience Young described as "inspiring." When asked what MJ would think if he were sitting there with them, Young smiled, "He would feel such a sense of pride of what he has given us to work with. It evokes emotions in people that they didn't even know were going to come out."</P><P>I think everyone feels inspired, which evokes a certain feeling of change," Young added. Justin Bieber Searches For One Fan To Dance On Believe Tour
"We're gonna make you believe in magic," tour director Jon Chu says in online casting call.

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> is offering up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for one of his lucky Beliebers.</P><P>The singer has just launched a campaign where fans can upload videos of themselves dancing. One lucky dancer will score a coveted audition spot with Bieber to try and snag a dancer position on his <a href="/news/articles/1686358/justin-bieber-believe-tour.jhtml"><i>Believe</i> tour</a>.</P><P>Bieber, with the help of his "Never Say Never" helmer and his tour director, Jon M. Chu, will be scouring <a href="http://www.youtube.com/ds2dio" target="_blank">Chu's D-Studio</link> to find the next great dancing talent. The campaign launched Friday (August 3), while in-person dance auditions kicked off earlier this week in L.A.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Proving His Haters Wrong With 'Good Music'" id="vid:793035" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"Justin also has such a huge online component, that's where he was discovered," Chu told <a href="http://www.eonline.com/news/335327/Justin-Bieber-Launches-New-Site-to-Find-Dancers-for-Believe-Tour" target="_blank">E! News</a>. "You can upload your own video and audition."</P><P>"We're only looking for the best dancers in the world. I know you and I, we want to take it to a whole other level," choreographer Nick DeMoura added in a video posted with Chu on D-Studio about the tour. "It's gonna be like an epic journey."</P><P>The guys are looking for dancers of all styles. Chu added that Bieber and the team have a certain goal for the tour, "We're gonna make you believe in magic." Submissions must be in by August 17. "And he has been talking to me about how Michael incorporated magic and pyro and reveals and he wants to bring in that. [But] still do that acoustic thing, but he wants to take it to a whole new level.</P><P>"It's just really exciting," he continued. "Nothing makes him happier than being onstage. So it's gonna be fun to get back onto the road. I think he was an amazing performer before, but his level of dance and musicianship and his range [has grown]. He's a veteran now. Kris Humphries Being Sued For Allegedly Giving A Woman Herpes
Wow, things just don’t seem to be going well for Kris Humphries, do they? First his marriage to reality TV star Kim Kardashian lasted a short 72 days, then he was accused of getting a former girlfriend pregnant, and now he’s being sued for sexual battery for allegedly giving a woman herpes!
According to RadarOnline Kayla Goldberg alleges that Kris gave her herpes after they met at The Newsroom Cafe in LA in August 2010 and went on to have unprotected sex at his hotel. According to a source who spoke to the website;
“Kris was recently accused by another woman of giving her Herpes, this happened within the last two months.
“Kris tested negative for it though and for any other sexually transmitted disease and he is absolutely steadfast that he has never given anyone herpes. Kris plans on vigorously fighting the lawsuit filed against him by Kayla Goldberg and is considering counter-suing her for defamation.”
Poor Kris, the guy can’t seem to catch a break! This definitely hasn’t been his year has it! What do you think? Even if it is true I would think that this was a matter that could have been settled privately instead of such a public forum.

Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson Arrested for Domestic Violence
Recently married Chad Ochocinco (now known as Chad Johnson) was arrested in Davie, FL on Saturday evening (August 11) for a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.
According to Police Cpt. Dale Engle who spoke with NFL Network, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver allegedly head butted his newlywed wife and "Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada during an argument on the way home from dinner. The alleged argument left Evelyn with a "pretty good sized" laceration.
However, Johnson told police that the two accidentally bumped heads after getting into a "heated argument" over a receipt that Lozanda found in the car, which showed condom purchases.
A Dolphins spokesman says, "We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering all of the relevant information."
A judge has set bond for Johnson at $2,500 and ff convicted, could face a maximum penalty of one year in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Katy Perry & Friends Go To The Movies
Katy Perry had a low-key Saturday afternoon. She and some friends (no sign of John Mayer) went to the Arclight Cinema to see a movie. No word on which movie they saw. I wonder if they saw ‘The Bourne Legacy’? It doesn’t look like I’m going to make it out this weekend, but I absolutely intend to see it before it leaves theaters!
Katy was nice enough to stop and sign some autographs for fans as she left the theater. Katy then flicked off the paparazzi, but since we’re a family-friendly website, I didn’t post those pics. I guess she was sick and tired of having her picture taken. One of the downsides of being a celebrity: fame doesn’t turn “off” when they want it to, unfortunately.

In related news, the 37-year-old's upcoming dating show “Ready For Love” will be premiering this winter and the brunette beauty recently opened up to iVillage the show.
When asked about finding love on the show, Miss Longoria said, “Yeah! I mean, with our format, I think so. “The Bachelor” is kind of weird because people go on that show not even knowing who the bachelor is until you show up in the limo. That’s just fundamentally odd. With that basic creative piece, our show is a little more authentic.”
In light of the new career path, the recently single starlet says dating on TV isn’t for her, explaining, “Oh, God no. I don’t think it’s a good forum for celebrities. I think then it just becomes a reality show, as opposed to these guys that we found really don’t want to be celebrities. They didn’t want to be on TV for the sake of being on TV. They really want to find love.
“Ready For Love” will premiere later this year on NBC and will be hosted by Bill and Guiliana Rancic.

News Roundup: Lamb Of God Tour Cancelled, Madonna Gets Booed In France And More
This week, Lamb of God‘s frontman Randy Blythe went to jail on manslaughter charges, forcing the band to cancel their upcoming headlining tour with Dethklock. Madonna got in some more trouble in Paris when she finished her set after only 45-minutes of performing. Lady Gaga also made the news this week when indie director Robert Rodriguez tweeted that she’ll be making her feature-film debut in his next movie Machete Kills. All that and more below.
- Bruce Springsteen Adds Dates: Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band have added some more dates to their U.S. summer stadium tour. The tour kicks off October 19th in Ottawa and wraps up December 6th in Glendale, Arizona. Check out the full list of new dates at Rolling Stone.
- Madonna Gets Booed: It’s probably not Madonna’s intention to build a hater-base while she’s out touring, but that’s basically what she’s doing. First she gets in trouble (and potentially sued) for using a swastika during her performance, and now she’s getting booed for ending her set too early. According to Rolling Stone, French fans booed Madonna following her 45-minute set in Paris Thursday night. Some even called her a “salope” (French for “slut”). If Madonna is promoting tolerance like she says she is, then she should understand that other people spent their hard-earned money to see her perform for more than just an hour, right?
- Lamb Of God Tour Cancelled: Lamb of God has cancelled their upcoming co-headlining tour with Dethklok because frontman Randy Blythe is in prison on charges of manslaughter. According to MTV, Blythe remains in jail in the Czech Republic and it’s unclear whether he’ll be able to post bail. These charges come from a 2010 death of a fan at a LOG show. More details at MTV.
- Lady Gaga Will Be Making Movie Debut: Lady Gaga will be making her first feature film debut in Robert Rodriguez’s Machete Kills. Gaga tweeted on Thursday afternoon, “Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @RODRIGUEZ IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Lea Michele: Big Apple "Glee" Beauty
Continuing to work through her weekend, Lea Michele was up bright and early to film new scenes for "Glee" in the West Village neighborhood of New York City on Saturday (August 11).
The 25-year-old star was spotted jumping around the Big Apple streets in black and white plaid shorts, v-neck sweater and knee high boots as she shot new scenes with her co-star Dean Geyer.
Seeming beyond excited to be working in the big city, the brunette beauty took to her Twitter page, writing, "SO excited for this weekend! It's been my dream to shoot #glee in NYC and now this season we'll be shooting half of Rachel's story here!" adding, "Early morning shooting #glee in NYC!!! So exciting!!!"
In other news, Miss Michele recently opened up to People magazine about how she keeps such a flawless look, saying, "I’m the girl who goes to bed at night with the face mask, the hair mask. I don’t care what I look like when I go to bed; I care about what I look like when I wake up in the morning.”
Lea also admitted that if she isn't working she prefers to have a natural face, explaining, "Maybe I’ll put on a little mascara, but other than that I try very hard to just let my skin breathe. I care more about letting my skin breathe than how I look.”
