A new featurette from the set of "Pacific Rim," Guillermo del Toro's massive monster movie that is also this summer's best robot movie, takes us literally inside the heads of those battle machines to see how they brought the fights to life.

Del Toro wanted to the action inside the head of the enormous jaegers to feel authentic and that meant helping his actors deliver believable performances, despite the fantastical circumstances of the story. "Helping" may not be the best word to use, because what del Toro ended up doing was strapping his actors into heavy machinery that would force them to strain in order to move their limbs.

The results was a more convincing monster and robot fight, which pretty much speaks for itself.

"Pacific Rim" opens on July 12.

Bieber debuts 'All I Want for Christmas Is You' video (and performs with Busta Rhymes and Usher) during 'Christmas in Rockefeller Center.'

Deck the halls! The holiday kicked into high gear Wednesday night (November 30) when New York's massive Christmas tree was lit during "Christmas in Rockefeller Center." Plenty of A-listers were on hand, including Justin Bieber, who premiered his highly anticipated <a href="/news/articles/1673689/justin-bieber-mariah-carey-christmas-video.jhtml">video for "All I Want for Christmas Is You,"</a> featuring Mariah Carey. <div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Rocks Rockefeller Center" id="vid:715720" width="240" height="211"></div> Before the strings of lights were illuminated, performances from Michael Bublé, Katharine McPhee, Big Time Rush, Tony Bennett, Carole King and Neil Diamond warmed viewers up. But Bieber was the headline act of the night, giving fans some big performances and an even bigger video premiere. Bieber amped up the energy with his hip-hop-ified take on the Christmas classic <a href="/news/articles/1673334/justin-bieber-mariah-carey-christmas-song.jhtml">"Little Drummer Boy,"</a> which included him spitting a holiday-themed rhyme. Decked in all black, the teen star had the crowd screaming. He was even joined by Busta Rhymes, who appears on the Under the Mistletoe cut. JB then slowed things down with <a href="/news/articles/1673032/justin-bieber-usher-christmas-song.jhtml">"The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire),"</a> leaving his female fans swooning as he crooned the holiday standard. He was joined by his mentor Usher for the track. "God bless and Merry Christmas," Bieber told the crowd before tossing to the "All I Want for Christmas Is You" video. The clip features Mariah Carey dressed in a sexy Santa Claus outfit standing in a department store as she dances around singing the track, almost as if she's on display for holiday shoppers. It also sees Bieber and his pals shopping for some choice holiday gifts like high-top kicks. In between performance shots of Bieber and Mariah, a street-corner Santa Claus hands out envelopes to shoppers on the street, teasing an inevitable yuletide party scene. The shoppers are then welcomed into the department store, where Justin and Mariah hand out gifts to everyone. The duo tease and flirt with each other as everyone around them unwraps their gifts. Bieber and Carey re-recorded her classic holiday tune for his chart-topping holiday album, which also features appearances from the Band Perry and Boyz II Men. tim lambesis As I Lay Dying Frontman Blames Steroids For Making Him Try To Murder His Wife

Tim Lambesis, frontman for the Christian metal band As I Lay Dying, has not had the best of months. First he gets busted trying to hire an undercover police officer for $1,000 to murder his wife. So now not only is he be charged with that crime, the world knows he’s kind of cheap, too. But hey, silver lining—it wasn’t Lambesis’ fault. According to his lawyer, Thomas Warwick, it was totally steroids’ fault.

It turns out that Lambesis had recently discovered the world of heavy bodybuilding, and “his thought processes were devastatingly affected by his steroid use.”

According to Rolling Stone, in the summer of 2012 Lambesis e-mailed his wife, Meggan Lambesis, and let her know that he no longer loved her, and that he no longer believed in God, which can make fronting a Christian metal band a little tough. Meggan also discovered Lambesis’ multiple affairs during their marriage, and the he already had a girlfriend when he e-dumped her.

Meggan Lambesis filed for divorce in September of last year, noting that Lambesis’ obsession with bodybuilding distracted him from caring for their three adopted children.

Her brand new flick "Now You See Me" opened in theaters today (May 31) and during promotions, Isla Fisher scored the cover spot on Cosmopolitan UK's July 2013 issue.

After teaming up with celeb photographer James White for the adorable spread, the "Great Gatsby" beauty opened up about life as a mom in Hollywood and revealed her constant support from fellow actresses.

On her career struggles:
"I really have had no help. In fact, the one time I did ask for help was after my agent in L.A. fired me. I was auditioning for all sorts of things but kept getting told 'no,' so she just fired me! So anyway, I said to Sacha, who was my boyfriend at the time, 'Can you ask your agent if they'll represent me?' And his agent said, 'No way.' It was the only favor I'd ever asked, and I was like, 'Ok... great.' but it spurred me on. I've had no helping hand in Hollywood. But in general I've found that when it comes to getting jobs, what's meant for you can't pass you by."

On other actresses lending a helping hand:
"Women one hundred percent support each other in the movie industry. I auditioned for a movie recently and when I went in, the producer said he'd otld one of its stars, Naomi Watts, that he was auditioning me and she'd said, 'She's so funny, she's a great actress - you should hire her.' What a lovely, kind and supportive thing to do for another woman."

On being the go-to mom:
"I have an open-house policy and a lot of my friends who don't have access to childcare drop their kids with me. You'll often find me in the playroom surrounded!"

On her return to acting:
It's a myth that you can have it all. You can't. But, more importantly, I don't think you should want to. It sounds exhausting! I'm just dipping my toe back into work now. It's a juggling act and I'm not particularly good at it; the balls are in the air. But my priority is always my family. Motherhood boils everything down to the essentials."

Campaign aims to bring African militia leader Joseph Kony to justice for war crimes and for enlisting children as soldiers.

A campaign to stop the nearly 30-year, brutal rule of African militia leader Joseph Kony became a viral sensation this week. <a href="http://kony2012.s3-website-us-east-1.amazonaws.com" target="_blank">"Kony 2012,"</a> started by the group Invisible Children, aims to make Kony's face so famous that authorities will finally be able to arrest him and try him for his crimes. A 30-minute <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc" target="_blank">documentary</a> released on Monday is one of the keys to the campaign, and as of Thursday it had gotten more than 26 million views. The video details the atrocities carried out by Kony and his Lord's Resistance Army. The campaign appears to be working, as at one point on Wednesday, Invisible Children and #stopkony were trending higher on Twitter than Peyton Manning or the new iPad. Since 1987, human rights officials say Kony has forcefully abducted more than 60,000 children to be soldiers in his army and reportedly raped, mutilated and killed civilians in Uganda, the Democratic Republic of Congo and South Sudan and displaced more than 2 million people. The leader is wanted for committing atrocities by the International Criminal Court and is being hunted down by 100 U.S. Special Forces advisers and local troops in four Central African nations, according to the <a href="http://bit.ly/AyrDyz">Associated Press.</a> Kony 2012 is an effort to capture Kony and disarm the LRA before a reported window of opportunity closes. One way it plans to do that is by encouraging users to directly message a variety of stars to make use of their Twitter ubiquity to get the word out. Among those listed on the site are: Lady Gaga, Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift, Rihanna, Angelina Jolie, Oprah Winfrey, George Clooney, Jay-Z, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Ryan Seacrest and Ellen DeGeneres, along with a number of major policymakers. When users click on the celebs' photos, a tweet pops up that reads: Help us end #LRA violence. Pregnant actress Kaylee DeFer was seen hailing a cab in New York City on Thursday (May 23). Earlier this month she and boyfriend – Fitz and The Tantrums musician Michael Fitzpatrick – announced they are expecting their first child together

Kaylee wrote a series of tweets on May 29. She wrote: “Funny: this pic of me hailing a cab in front of Subway completely unaware that someone is taking a photo.”

She added, “Not Funny: eating Subway while pregnant (which I did not). Or the way you feel after eating it.”

The mom-to-be also said, “Funny: reporters are saying I exposed my baby bump for the first time at Mangria on Cinco de Mayo as if I chose to wait for that occasion.”

Kaylee recently told US Weekly, “We weren’t planning on getting pregnant, so right now we’re just enjoying being pregnant. We think it’s a boy. Well, the doctor is 95 percent sure it’s a boy. The baby was really shy that day, he was sleeping.”

Kaylee has been seen in How I Met Your Mother, Ghost Whisperer and is best known as playing Ivy Dickens in Gossip Girl.

She arrived at the show in a pale-hued, sequined Elie Saab gown. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/minaj__nicki/artist.jhtml">Nicki Minaj</a> showed off her signature sense of style in her baby-blue, body-hugging spandex Mark Fast catsuit. <a href="/music/artist/gomez__selena/artist.jhtml">Selena Gomez</a> turned up the style dial in a sexy, cut-out black Dolce & Gabbana gown that she paired with red strappy sandals with sparkly bow detailing. British pop cutie Kyle Minogue looked funky in her little black lacey dress. Inside the show, Britney Spears sat in the audience wearing a skimpy black dress of her own, her hair in loose curls, with little-to-no accessories. While some stars kept the color scheme low-key, Keri Hilson decided to stand out in her billowy little yellow dress paired with a turquoise-colored belt. Kelly Rowland showed off some of her best assets in a body-hugging, bright pink bandage dress. The fellas also looked tight on the carpet. Joe Jonas wore all black with white sneakers, Ne-Yo paired his periwinkle suit with a Yankees cap and Justin Bieber wore black tuxedo pants with a gold-lamé tuxedo jacket. henry rollins Henry Rollins Is Done With Performing Live Music

Anyone who is a fan of Henry Rollins’ various incarnations as a performer—be it the musclebound singer of a former incarnation of Black Flag, or fronting his own Rollins Band; the actor; the funny, angry and politically-driven spoken word artist; the host/curator of his own wildly eclectic radio show—has likely the noticed that the man hasn’t performed a lot of live music as of late. Curious as to why? Rollins addressed the issue in his latest column for the L.A. Weekly.

In it, Rollins expounds on his joy at currently being brutally exhausted with his work schedule (he’s filming a history show in Arlington, Virginia) and how he enjoys being kept busy as a way of not feeling old.

He then notes he is often asked why he doesn’t launch a “nostalgia” tour, playing some of his classic tunes and cashing in the way other, more septuagenarian rock figures have already done. He gives a typical Rollins-esque reply:

“I tell you this because in the summer months, you can count on bands that have been gone for years who will reassemble and go onto stages all over the world playing ‘vintage music.’ Perhaps they are on a Proustian mission to recapture that which has been lost. I read the interviews where the musicians claim that now they can really play this music. I don’t doubt them, but therein lies the problem. Musicians should not play Music. Music should play musicians.

Bands that think they have a handle on Music are no longer battling the beast. They think they have mastered Music. They have not.

Music cannot be mastered. What they think is control and mastery is not only hubris but even worse, it is Music’s great indifference. Simply put, Music no longer plays them. Music has moved on to more worthy combatants.

This is why I stopped touring with a band. I put up my fists and there was no longer anything there. It was heartbreaking, but it was clear. Music had moved on. Such was my reverence for its limitless power, I faced this truth and moved on in search of new battles.”

So there you have it—it seems Rollins has moved beyond performing live music (his spoken word tours are a blast, anyway), so those of you hoping for a Rollins-era Black Flag reunion might want to start finding other things to look forward to.

But come Memorial Day, the world's hardest-working mother will be right back at it when she plays a series of special intimate shows at Atlantic City's newest attraction. Four months after giving birth to <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/01/09/jay-z-dedicates-bic-song-to-baby-blue-ivy-carter">Blue Ivy Carter</a>, B will play a trio of exclusive shows to help launch the $2.4 billion Revel entertainment center on May 25, 26 and 27. The singer's first shows since 2011 will take place in the smoke-free Revel's signature performance space, Ovation Hall, which was designed by a team of Cirque du Soleil veterans. The 5,050-capacity space features an unobstructed view for every patron and a state-of-the-art immersive sound system. The musical comedy could potentially star B's buddy, Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as Reese Witherspoon, Cameron Diaz and "Saturday Night Live" castmember Andy Samberg. Regardless of how this film shakes out, Beyoncé is reportedly already thinking about her music career again. Producer Ryan Tedder shared that the singer is prepping several <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/02/14/beyonce-prepping-two-new-albums">follow-up albums</a> to <a href="/news/articles/1665479/beyonce-4-leak.jhtml">2011's 4.</a> "The conversations about her next album, literally, just started and there [are] two projects happening," Tedder said."All I can say is, you kind of feed her the best that you have, and she's this phenomenal filter and she takes it all in." One of those albums may be the soundtrack for the upcoming Clint Eastwood film "A Star Is Born," which the singer is also attached to star in. King of Pop's takeover leads to some head-scratching song choices.

"Glee" paid tribute to Michael Jackson during Tuesday night's episode and, shockingly, kept the story moving along in the midst of several MJ-inspired musical numbers. Kurt, Rachel and Quinn all received great news about college, Rachel finally accepted Finn's proposal and evil Sebastian's plot to harm Kurt with a doctored slushee backfired when Blaine took the hit for his boyfriend. <div class="player-placeholder right" title="'Glee'-Cap: Michael Jackson Takes Over McKinley High" id="vid:730282.id:1671179" width="240" height="211"></div> Yet the forced "all Michael, all the time" song selection led to some head-scratching scenes including Kurt, Rachel and Finn serenading an injured Blaine with Jackson's love song to a rat, "Ben," and two different music-video re-enactments only appealed to Jackson superfans. Fox's song-and-dance series "Glee" is no stranger to a star-studded cameo or two, with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, John Stamos and Kristin Chenoweth all walking the halls of McKinley High during the past two and a half seasons. And as the show returns from a month-long hiatus, Gleeks aren't the only ones anticipating a few more famous faces. As star Chris Colfer told MTV News on the Golden Globes red carpet, there's plenty to look forward to when New Directions warble again January 17. "Well, the Michael Jackson episode ...," Colfer answered when asked about his most-anticipated upcoming episodes. "We have a Spanish episode coming up with Ricky Martin. We have a Valentine's Day episode coming up, so that's going to be fun." <CENTER><embed src="http://media.mtvnservices.com/mgid:uma:video:mtv.com:725517/cp~name%3Dnews%26id%3D1677338%26vid%3D725517%26uri%3Dmgid%3Auma%3Avideo%3Amtv.com%3A725517" width="460" height="260" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" base="."></embed></CENTER> Martin is slated to play "the hottest Spanish teacher ever in the history of Ohio," according to <a href="http://www.tvline.com/2011/11/glee-ricky-martin-season-3/" target="_blank">TVLine</a>. The actor/singer recently <a href="https://twitter.com/#!/ricky_martin/status/155141894333140993" target="_blank">tweeted</a> a joyful picture from his first day on set. As to how the King of Pop's prolific songbook will manifest itself in the January 31 tribute episode, Colfer explained, "Well, I sing part of 'Black [or] White.' I'm the 'White' in 'Black [or] White,' and I sing 'Ben,' that famous song he wrote for the rat." The rodent in question is the pet of a young boy named Danny in the 1972 film "Ben." Jackson sang a version of the theme song that appeared in the movie's closing credits and was later included on his 1972 album also named Ben. On Friday (February 10), <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/jay_z/artist.jhtml">Jay-Z</a> posted the first photos of his and <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/knowles_beyonce/artist.jhtml">Beyoncé</a>'s daughter, <a href="/news/articles/1676906/beyonce-jay-z-baby-born-ivy-blue.jhtml">Blue Ivy Carter</a>, on his <a href="http://lifeandtimes.com/glory" target="_blank">Life + Times</a> website. <div class="player-placeholder right" title="All About Beyonce And Jay-Z's New Arrival" id="id:1676907" width="240" height="211"></div> The rapper and his superstar wife are seen in the photos holding the newborn in a series of five photos. In the first large photo, we see the baby swathed in a polka-dot wrap sleeping. In the remaining images, she has her eyes wide open and is being held by her beaming mother, and in another, her back is to us while she's being held by her smiling father. <a href="http://www.mtv.com/photos/thumbnails.jhtml?fid=1679016&view=thumb">Photos: Blue Ivy Carter revealed.</a> There's a note that reads: "We welcome you to share in our joy. Thank you for respecting our privacy during this beautiful time in our lives. The Carter family." The baby-picture reveal is just the latest Blue Ivy news. On Thursday, it was confirmed that the high-profile couple filed an application with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to <a href="/news/articles/1678877/beyonce-jay-z-blue-ivy-trademark.jhtml">trademark Blue Ivy's name</a>. The patent is intended to prevent the use of their daughter's name by non-related parties. The application was filed by Beyoncé's company, BGK Trademark Holdings, and is currently pending. The Washington Post reported that it will likely get approved, considering that parents are legally authorized to trademark the names of minor children. Earlier this week, Beyoncé revealed her post-pregnancy body, and she's back in fighting shape only a month after the birth of her baby girl. <a href="/news/articles/1678670/beyonce-post-baby-appearance-jay-z.jhtml">B was photographed twice</a> this week, including at the first night of <a href="/news/articles/1678669/jay-z-carnegie-hall.jhtml">Jay-Z's two-night charity stint at Carnegie Hall</a>.
