Usher And David Guetta 'Proud' Of 'Without You'
'When you see R&B and pop and house, as well as electronic, come together, that's the reality of what music is,' Usher tells MTV News.

<P>When <a href="/music/artist/usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a> and <a href="/music/artist/guetta_david/artist.jhtml">David Guetta</a> hooked up for the French DJ's latest album, <i>Nothing but the Beat,</i> the two superstars created a chart-topping smash, <a href="/news/articles/1670301/usher-david-guetta-without-you.jhtml">"Without You,"</a> that combines Guetta's ear for house beats and Usher's ability to convey a range of emotions with his voice. It's a song that has really stuck with fans of all genres of music. </P><P> </P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="David Guetta, Usher Found An 'Incredible' Song To Collab On" id="vid:713197" width="240" height="211"></div><p> </P><P> </P><P>The track — a swirling pop ode to not giving up on love in the face of adversity — struck Usher with its emotional core. </P><P> </P><P>"David Guetta is an amazing artist," he told MTV News last week at a <a href="/news/articles/1674705/justin-bieber-usher-advice.jhtml">Pencils of Promise charity event</a>. "We talked for many years about working together, and we found a record that was incredible." </P><P> </P><P>Usher said it was a song that resonated with him personally. "I think the world wanted a record like that. That [song] really spoke to the journey that I've actually been on in the last three years," he said. "Traveling all around the world, music sounds different. The LP dropped earlier this year and also includes <a href="/news/articles/1674756/american-music-awards-nicki-minaj-david-guetta.jhtml">Nicki Minaj, who performed with Guetta at the AMAs</a>. </P><P> </P><P>"It's one of my favorite songs," he said. "It's just, I'm a DJ, so I want to make people dance always, but I also want to give emotions. With her hit Fox series "New Girl" all set to resume its second season on January 8th, Zooey Deschanel garnered herself a little welcome attention by covering the February 2013 issue of Glamour magazine.

Katie Holmes Thanks Fans on Broadway
Heading to work, Katie Holmes arrived at the Music Box Theater in New York on Sunday afternoon (December 30).
The "Batman Begins" beauty wore flared jeans and a tan coat as she and her "Dead Accounts" co-star, Judy Greer, greeted fans outside.
As previously reported by GossipCenter, Katie's play, "Dead Accounts," will close six weeks earlier than scheduled.
Mixed reviews and low ticket sales were cited in the decision to end the show on January 6.

Miley Cyrus Married: Liam Hemsworth Secret Wedding!
Have you seen these pictures? It is looking like Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth are married!! Was there a secret wedding? I am so disappointed! my invite must have been lost in holiday mail…
Ok seriously people – I am not one for rumors – but this one is a bit too obvious if you ask me. I mean Liam and Miley are both clearly rocking what looks like wedding rings! There have been rumors that the two wed in a top secret wedding and that they have been married for months, and now they just tweeted several pics that show them each wearing wedding rings. TMZ is also speculating, which makes me thinky it maybe trueeeee!!!!!
I will wait for confirmation before I sen out my congratulations, but I a m sure TMZ is doing the digging and we will know for sure one way or another. I wouldn’t put it past Miley, she keeps her relationship with Liam very top secret so if they had a quiet low key intimate wedding ceremony – would it really be shocking? No!! I say more power to them! In Tinsel Town keeping a secret like that, when you are a mega star such as Miley Cyrus, they pulled off one heck of a job! She wouldn’t be the first celeb to pull such a stunt!
Kate Winslet also tied the knot this weekend, with longtime friend Leonardo DiCaprio giving her away. Boo, I always held out hope Leo would settle down with Kate…. Wishful thinking I guess.

And, during a Wednesday night BBC Radio broadcast, it was revealed that the queen herself actually approved each design. </P><P> </P><P>Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page — who helped design the cover for <i>IV</i> — was on hand to celebrate the release of the stamps and recalled the mysterious nature of the album's iconic imagery. </P><P> </P><P>"Almost 40 years after the album came out, nobody knows the old man who featured on the cover, nor the artist who painted him," he said. "That sort of sums up what we wanted to achieve with the album cover, which has remained both anonymous and enigmatic at the same time." </P><P> </P><P>Of course, any great honor is befitting of an equally great contest, so, on the same day the stamps were made available to the general public, Coldplay decided to give one of their <i>Rush of Blood</i> stamps away. In a message on their official site, the band held a contest to send one lucky fan "a letter using a Coldplay stamp, postmarked with today's issue date." </P><P> </P><P>"We visited our local post office earlier today and bought some of the Coldplay stamps," the message read. "Very nice they are too."</p>

Ashlee Simpson rocked a bikini when she hit the water in Oahu. She looks like she’s having a blast on this Simpson family vacation! Ashlee brought Bronx along to try out the water. It may have taken a day or two to get Bronx to venture from the sand into the waves.
The sea can be scary for young kids, and rightfully so: it wouldn’t take much of a wave to knock them off their feet. But Ashlee and whoever’s helping her have clearly taken every precaution. I bet Bronx loved the water once he got used to it. Then they probably had to coax him out of the water- LOL.

The family arrived at the ski resort on Saturday (December 22) and dancer was already hooked on the beauty of the area. “It’s already a blast;) #Colorado rocks,” he said.
Christmas Day (December 25) was spent creating some memories on the ski hill.

Ryan Seacrest Ready To Rock New Year’s Eve
This will be Ryan Seacrest’s first New Year’s Eve show where he’s truly solo, since Dick Clark passed away earlier this year.The ‘American Idol‘ host looks like he’s up for the challenge! Here’s Ryan sitting down with ‘Good Morning America’ to talk about this year’s New Year’s Eve show. Looks like he’s already got a good, heavy coat for the event.
With the unusual weather we’ve been having all fall/early winter, who knows WHAT New Year’s Eve will be like. It’s supposed to be right at freezing temperatures, so Ryan will need to bundle up. If you spend New Year’s Eve at home, do you watch ABC or NBC or CBS or CNN? If I’m at home I bounce between the channels, but watching Dick Clark when the ball dropped was always a tradition when I was a little girl.

Tate Stevens Wins X Factor 2012!
Wow I have to admit, I am shocked! I mean Tate Stevens is awesome, but Carly Rose Sonenclar is amazing! She is so young and has so much potential. I know this will not be the last we see of her.
It was an incredible night, all of the acts gave it their all. The opening tribute to the Newtown shooting victims brought me to tears, and Carly rocked it. She has that stage presence about her – I thought she had it in the bag when she preformed Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On” (video below) even Celine and her hubby were impressed. Of course there are those who want to say that LeAnn Rimes ruined her chances, but that my friends is a different story.
Tate Stevens rocked it out and is our 2012 X Factor winner. He has the whole package – as far as country goes, including that heart warming story and love for his family. Put a bow on it honey, cause he got that thang wrapped up!
Before performing “Please Come Home for Christmas” (video below) for the finale, the 27 year old said,
“I want to win. That’s honest. I didn’t come here to lose, I didn’t come here to take second. I came here to win. It’s nuts. I actually have a better chance of winning this than I do getting struck by lightening.”
And upon winning he was clearly surprised.
“First and foremost, I gotta thank the man upstairs for taking care of me,” Stevens said. “My family, all the country music fans, God bless you.”
Well, the $5 million is all his now! What to do, what to do….
Ratings for the show were through the roof, but still down compared to last season. Many suspect Khloe Kardashian is the reason, and while it was at times hard to watch her, it wasn’t that bad. She is no Ryan Seacrest, but she held he own. Anyway, expect a shake up next year – even for the judges!
